Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services

Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services is looking for passionate, responsible, and adventurous childcare providers. We specialize in helping young Canadian successful complete visa applications to work abroad as an Au Pair to experience the ultimate gap year.

We work closely with our partner agency to ensure positive and safe placements with host families. These are live in positions in households throughout The Netherlands.

Childcare services and light household duties are exchanged for room, board and pocket money. Immerse yourself in the Dutch culture and have the experience of a lifetime.

Our partner agency is a member of IAPA to ensure the setting of industry standards and to protect the Au Pair experience as a rewarding cultural exchange.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high quality childcare services in the family’s home.
• Create opportunities for physical activity and educational engagement with the children.
• Lead children in fun activities.
• Provide light household duties and meal prep as agreed upon with the family.
• Prioritize safety and well being of children at all times.
• Assist in taking children to and from school or activities if requested by the family.

Job Qualifications

• Must be between 18 and 25 years old.
• Standard Childcare First Aid CPR Level B or First Aid CPR Level C is required.
• Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.
• Have a valid Canadian Passport
• Minimum 1-year childcare experience
• Valid drivers license considered an asset but not required
• Cycling skills considered an asset but not required
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate a high level of organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to receive constructive feedback
• Child-care related references will be requested

Hours of work : Varies.
