Position Overview

MOBIA is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team in Newfoundland, working in a fully remote capacity . In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both traditional and cloud-based network infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our network environment while driving efficiency through automation and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and support traditional network infrastructure (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers).
• Design, implement, and support cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against threats.
• Manage and optimize network storage solutions.
• Conduct WLAN surveys using Ekahau and provide recommendations for optimal wireless network performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Evaluate, test, and implement new network technologies and solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate network operations and workflows using vendor tools, Ansible, and other automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for network configurations and deployments.
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior network engineers.
• Other duties as required.
