Candidates must have at least three years of experience in underground mining. Prior experience with air-leg drills, vertical drills, and conventional drills is a significant asset. This training represents an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and progress in the mining field.

Job Description

Perform blast hole drilling according to drilling and blasting plans and specifications.

Read and interpret plans, mark work faces, and adjust drilling parameters based on geological conditions.

Operate the jumbo drill safely and efficiently to ensure development complies with quality standards.

Inspect and maintain the jumbo and its components daily (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems).

Install and maintain underground services as needed (piping, electrical cables, ventilation).

Collaborate with the mucking operator and other team members to plan drilling and blasting sequences.

Conduct field checks before and after drilling to ensure the stability and safety of the worksite.

Report any anomalies, equipment defects, or dangerous working conditions.

Always adhere to work procedures, health and safety rules, and current regulations in Quebec.

Training Requirements

Hold a DEP (Vocational Studies Diploma) in Mineral Extraction or possess equivalent experience;

Possess a minimum of 3 years of underground experience;
