Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and participate in preparation, implementation, and turnover of all project quality documentationPrepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) ensuring all quality control activities are identified, hold / witness points set, and approvals obtained from the Client and AI as requiredReview and release technical documentation (drawings, specifications, etc.) for work executionVerify welding is performed within the parameters of accepted Welding Procedure Specifications, including verifying welder qualifications and welding inspectionsInspect multi-discipline field activities and productsPrepare Nondestructive Examination (NDE) requests and review NDE reportsInterface with the AI for vessel repair, alterations, and ASME B31.1 BEPParticipate in audits of the Quality Management SystemQualifications
CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector Certification3–5 years of experience working as a Contractor’s QC L2 Inspector in the industrial Oil & Gas sector, with proven expertise in developing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and securing approvals from clients and Authorized Inspectors (AI) agenciesJourneyman trade designation (asset)C.E.T. in Welding Engineering Technology (WET) or Materials Engineering Technology (MET) (asset)Experience working with regulatory authorities (TSBC, ABSA, TSASK, ITSM)Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam RevuRequired Safety Tickets
