We currently have an opening for a full‑time permanent Component Shop NDT Technician position.
Reporting to the Shops Crew Lead, the Component Shop NDT Technician is responsible for NDT inspections on a variety of aeronautical products, the overhaul and repair of aircraft components and supporting the fleet as required. This position will primarily be working in the Component Shop but may require maintenance on the aircraft or in the field.
In this role your duties will include the following :
- NDT inspections on a variety of aeronautical products
- Carry out NDT inspections in compliance with applicable procedures, manuals, and processes;
- Demonstrate safe working practices and techniques. Ensure all measures are taken for a safe work environment;
- Perform all duties in accordance with Conair’s Policies and Procedures and applicable regulations;
- Complete assigned tasks and related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner;
- Maintain currency as applicable to Conair Memos, Maintenance Bulletins, and notices;
- Gain and maintain knowledge of CARs as related to aircraft maintenance;
- Overhaul, repair, inspection, and servicing of aircraft components as required;
- Inspection, testing and calibration of tooling and instrumentation;
- Perform other duties as required.
We are looking for someone with :
Level II in Eddy Current or Ultrasonic NDT is required;Level II in MPI or LPI NDT is an asset;Knowledge of all safety rules governing the work performed;Must have an intrinsic desire to continuously improve safety;Must maintain the requirements for a safe fit test of their respirator;Ability to analyze drawings and technical literature;Ability to provide clear, concise reporting of inspections;Ability to communicate accurately and effectively with Managers, Lead Hands, and customers;Ability to react quickly and efficiently to production needs and make process decisions to troubleshoot problems; maintain stamina during busy periods; be self‑motivated;Must have an intense desire to meet and exceed Conair’s goals and objectives while being a professional team player;Exceptional interpersonal skills;Mechanically inclined is an asset.Training / Education :
Level II in EC or UT is required;Level II in LPI or MPI is an asset;AME license is an asset;Mechanical or Electrical experience an asset;Proficiency in Microsoft office products and computer skills is asset.Must be legally entitled to work in Canada1510 Tower St, Abbotsford, BC V2T 6H5, Canada
