Your role

• All aspects of piping design related to Feeder / Piping Design Layout and Analysis.
• Managing the design and stress analysis scope from concept to preliminary to detailed design.
• Planning and executing work consistent with quality cost and schedule requirements and removing any associated barriers.
• Coordinating and overseeing Feeders and Piping Engineering activities related to the completion of fundamental design for a nuclear power plant.
• Coordinating all design interfaces between the Nuclear Steam Plant (NSP) and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
• Working with assigned staff to find optimal solutions to technical challenges.
• Providing technical guidance to staff as appropriate.
• Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with applicable Engineering and Quality Assurance procedures and in accordance with the contract applicable specifications and technical requirements.
• Interfacing with stakeholders including Engineering peers Procurement Construction representatives and prospective equipment and / or system vendors to ensure system designs meet performance safety and regulatory requirements and that the resulting designs are constructable operable and maintainable.
• Ensuring project deliverables are produced in accordance with budget schedule quality and technical requirements.
• Approving engineering documents and deliverables.
• Participating in the preparation of commercial proposals and approving the technical content of proposals prepared under their direction.
• Forecasting resource demands for the assigned work scope including required skills capabilities and durations.
• Managing customer relationships.
• The Technical Manager will oversee the work of 10 to 20 piping designers and analysts. Supervisory responsibilities include :
