Basic Qualifications
: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:Training Specialization: Secondary Education with major/minor in Home EconomicsRelated Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching foods and textiles at the Secondary levelA Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.Additional Qualifications: Have Food Safe Certification and proficiency with food equipmentOther: Commitment to the house-based team structureThe starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61, 175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
