What We're Looking For
The successful candidate is a self-starter who will work in collaboration with the other teams to strategize, develop and market new and renewal business for our clients.
He / she should have a good understanding of the insurance marketplace and be able to build and maintain good working relationships with insurance carriers.
Strong negotiating and technical skills are required to analyze information and prepare effective proposals and reports.
The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Evaluate clients" current insurance policies and suggest additions or changes to ensure adequate coverage.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products to meet client needs.
- Research insurance policies from different insurers and present options to clients.
- Guide clients through the claims process and provide support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance policies to provide accurate advice to clients.
- Collaborate with underwriters, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and secure the best deals for clients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and transactions.
Requirements :
- Proven work experience as an insurance broker or similar role.
- Knowledge of various types of insurance policies, coverage options, and underwriting procedures.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- RIBO licensed or in the process of being licensed (required).
