Description

Clean Harbors in Winnipeg MB is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their safety consciousteam!This role is associated with hazardous waste clean-up site remediation equipment decontamination working in confined spaces and the handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner.

Operates light and heavy equipment including but not limited to pumps vacuum trucks and equipment oil spill boom generators bobcats etc.

Performs chemical and water spills and environmental clean-up.

Performs Confined Space entries -working with Tank and Vessel Cleaning.

Performs work at heights on platforms.

Performs various tasks associated with Hazardous Waste and Waste cleanups.

Performs a variety of labour project work.

Handles various hand tools and powered industrial tools including pressure washers and saws.

Wears respirators for work.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Class 5 license and reliable transportation to commute to necessary locations.

Previous labour / hazardous waste removal experience is highly preferred.

Ability to be physical at work routinely lift and move objects.

Previous experience working in confined spaces and at heights is preferred.

Previous experience working with a respirator preferred.

Ability to travel; this position can require overnight travel as needed.

Ability to be clean shaven and wear respirator for work.
