Controller

Based in Delta, our client is a publicly traded manufacturing company that has been in business for over 10 years. They are currently looking to add a Controller / Accounting Manager to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant experience.

About the position

Reporting to the Owner, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting function. Key duties include, but are not limited to :

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
• Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable / receivable, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide updated financial projections to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage and mentor accounting and finance staff, and process payroll, employee benefits, and overall cash flow management.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and facilitate an efficient audit process.
• Present quarterly financial statements to the board and work on MD&A statements.
• Be the first point of contact for auditors, investors and tax authorities.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.
