As an LPN at CHCA, you will provide high-quality nursing care in diverse healthcare settings, including emergency rooms, intensive care units, nursing stations, and community health centers. Assignments involve working in remote, isolated, or semi-isolated areas, delivering culturally safe care to Indigenous populations and other communities in need.
What You’ll Do :
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a range of clinical environments including long-term care, primary health centers, and nursing stations
Support and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans and monitor patient outcomes
Administer medications, perform assessments, and assist with treatments and wound care
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in alignment with provincial regulations
Promote health education and culturally safe care to patients in remote or Indigenous communities
Flexibly adapt to new environments and various shift schedules (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
What You Need :
Active and unrestricted LPN license in British Columbia
A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in emergency care or remote nursing stations
Candidates with strong critical care experience and all required certifications will also be considered
Graduation from a recognized Canadian Practical Nursing program
CPR / BLS and ACLS certification (other certifications such as PALS or ITLS are considered strong assets)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by various means, including small aircraft, ferries, and road transport
Proven ability to work independently in high-autonomy, low-resource environments with minimal RN support
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, team-first attitude
