Senior Tax Associate

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to manage complex tax compliance tasks, conduct research, and provide strategic guidance to clients. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in tax accounting and software systems who pays close attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive research on tax-related matters to provide informed recommendations and solutions.
• Utilize specialized accounting software, including CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx, to streamline tax processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with clients to address inquiries and resolve tax-related issues effectively.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Stay updated on changes in state and federal tax laws to maintain compliance and deliver informed advice.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering growth within the department.
• Analyze financial data and documents to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure proper reporting.
• Support LLP clients with tailored tax services and solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in tax accounting, with a focus on compliance and research.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH IntelliConnect.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in all tax-related tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
