As a Project Engineer at Brave, you will be responsible for supporting Brave’s sales engineering efforts, engineering management, and technical delivery for your assigned projects.
Reporting to the Divisional Director of Engineering, your role includes the following responsibilities :
- Provide pre-sales technical consulting as need via customer meetings, site visits, trade shows and other industry events
- Gather and analyze technical requirements, perform technical assessments, and provide insights and recommendations
- Produce solution concepts, estimates, and detailed quotes
- Provide recommendations for technical project resourcing
- Produce assigned project documents and deliverables in accordance with Brave processes
- Lead / facilitate Specialist and Leads’ efforts to produce assigned deliverables
- Evaluate the engineering quality of project deliverables produced by assigned Specialists and Leads
- Lead / facilitate technical status updates with internal resources
- Attend and participate in regular customer status meetings
- Purchase hardware and other project-related goods and services in accordance with project plan.
- Produce purchase orders and maintain detailed order logs
- Provide technical support for project scope management efforts
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts of internal processes
MUST HAVE
6+ years experience in an integration environmentExcellent understanding of controls, industrial automation, and mechatronic processesEngineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering ORTechnology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineeringLegally eligible to work in both Canada AND the United StatesValid driver’s license and reliable transportationExperience with commissioning, start-ups, and troubleshooting of industrial automation projectsWillingness to Travel to customer facilitiesNICE TO HAVE
Advanced knowledge of electrical design as it pertains to automationSupervisory experience as a group leader or branch managerExperience estimating projects for materials and labor costs
