Class 1 or 3, Driver/Operator, Pressure & Vacuum

Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking Class 1 or 3, Driver/Operators for Pressure & Vacuum at our Red Deer, AB location! You must be flexible and willing to travel between the Red Deer and Edmonton region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools
• 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground!
• Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacity
• Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents
• Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
• Provide guidance to Laborers as required
• Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 or 3 licence with no more than 5 demerits
• Experience driving manual transmissions (13 and 18 speed), passing a CEDA’s driver assessment is required
• 1+ years of labour or operator experience in an industrial environment
• CSTS 2020, H2S Alive, ESC Confined Space and ESC Fall Protection certifications an asset (ESC – Energy Safety Board)
• Able to provide a negative result on pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Able to travel between Edmonton and Red Deer (flexibility in scheduling is required)

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Enjoy working outdoors the majority of the time in varied weather conditions
