The Sales Executive will sell Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, HighQ, Practical Law, WestLaw and related products and services to prospective Corporate Legal departments. Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker and HighQ are cloud-based software solutions that enable corporate legal departments to manage contracts, documents, and matters and to collaborate with outside firms. Practical Law and WestLaw provide in-house counsel with web-based tools and resources to more efficiently manage their workload.
This is a remote position and must be Calgary-based.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Sales Executive , you will be accountable for :
- Meeting new sales quota
- Conducting face-to-face / MS Teams appointments
- Conducting pre-demo qualifying calls / conversations and short demos
- Maintaining a pipeline of 3x quota
- Prospecting, selling and building pipelines for Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, HighQ, Practical Law and Westlaw
- Establishing and maintaining strong sales partnership with Thomson Reuters pre-sales resources
- Updating Salesforce.com daily and accurately maintaining the CRM tool
- Providing forecasting to management
About You
You're a fit for the Sales Executive if your background includes :
A university degree (business or professional) or equivalent business experienceA minimum 10 years of direct field sales experience, preferably in the corporate sector and or legal industry, with a proven, exemplary track record of exceeding sales quota; experience and track record in software sales is strongly preferredThe ability to effectively present the product and value propositions and to forecast accuratelyAn enthusiastic, energetic, passionate and curious attitudeOpenness and adaptability to a consistently changing and growing marketNew business mining, prospecting and cold calling skills : ability to develop a high volume of new business opportunitiesThe ability to build credibility and trust in order to navigate a complex sales cycleThe ability to collaborate and communicate regularly and effectively within team and cross-functionally with other departmentsThe ability to build relationships with, and influence all levels within an organization, including senior managementPossession of a valid driver's license (required)The ability to work from a home office and travel to customer locations (10-20% travel required)Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Outlook and internet skillsKnowledge of the legal marketplace or a professional designation (an LL.B) will be considered a strong assetLI-AY1
