Underdog Dance Corp is Waterloo’s highest-rated dance studio for beginner adults. Our studio is built on safety, inclusivity, and encouragement. Adults walk through our doors feeling hopeful, nervous, excited — and our instructors play a huge role in helping them believe in themselves.

We hire instructors not only for their skill, but for the heart and presence they bring to a room.

What You’ll Do

• Teach 50-minute adult classes using clear, safe technique and progressions
• Create a warm, encouraging, inclusive environment for beginners
• Prepare weekly lesson plans using our teaching framework
• Support students with empathy and patience as they learn
• Collaborate with fellow instructors for a consistent, team-centered experience
• Complete basic class duties such as attendance and light studio care
• Participate in onboarding and training appropriate to your role (employee or contractor)
