Journeyman Electrician - Ontario

Join the MSCP Heat Management Solutions team as a Journeyman Electrician in Ontario

MSCP provides innovative technical solutions for heat management in the energy sector. Founded in 2011, we are expanding into water treatment and renewables.

Responsibilities

• Occasional overnight travel; roughly 75% of work based at the shop
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and electrical schematics
• Install and remove heat trace in accordance with specified standards
• Ensure safe work around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas (Class I Zone 1 / 2)
• Work with power and hand tools; electrical installs, wiring, and cable pulls
• Perform insulation resistance tests (Megger) to ensure cable integrity
• Conduct loop checks and verify continuity and proper grounding
• QA, testing, and commissioning of electrical and heat trace components
• Use digital work packages and quality documents
• Participate collaboratively in work groups; use good problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Adhere to safety requirements and policies, LOTO, etc.; active participation in HSE program
• Complete extensive in‑house training program
• Participate in toolbox talks and field‑level hazard assessments (FLHAs)
