Job Type : Permanent Full-Time Onsite -Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Ontario

Anticipated Hours of Work : Monday to Friday 7 : 00 a.m. 3 : 30 p.m.

Hourly : $35.00 per hour benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (full-time position)

Pay Schedule : Paid weekly every Friday

Reports To : Roofing Site Supervisor / Site Foreman

What Youll Do

• Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials
• Provide assistance to skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs flashings and surfaces
• Remove old roofing materials
• Prepare roofs for re-roofing or new roofing projects
• Assist with the installation repair and replacement of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts hot asphalt and gravel
• Assist with the application of waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Pour hot asphalt and tar
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Set up ladders scaffolds and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs
