About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freight Procurement Analyst to join our logistics brokerage team. This role is critical in supporting our response to customer RFPs and ensuring competitive, accurate pricing across a variety of freight types including dry van, reefer, flatbed, and oversized loads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fuel surcharge schedules and 2–3 years of hands-on experience in freight pricing.
Key Accountabilities :
- Analyze and respond to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) with strategic pricing solutions.
- Develop and maintain pricing.
- Interpret and apply fuel surcharge schedules and other accessorial charges.
- Effectively collaborate with sales, operations, and carrier relations teams to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions and service capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends, lane data, and carrier rates to optimize pricing strategies.
- Maintain and update internal pricing databases and tools.
Position Requirements :
Tech savvy with the use of a computer with the ability to regularly adapt to new and changing software2–3 years of industry experienceStrong knowledge of North American freight marketsFamiliarity with fuel surcharge schedules and transportation cost structures.Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with TMS or pricing software is a plus.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Ability to manage multiple RFPs and deadlines simultaneously.Post secondary education in a related field is an assetPreferred Skills :
Experience working with carrier networks and understanding rate negotiations.Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.Exposure to LTL and intermodal pricing is an asset.What's In It for You?
