Overview

Languages : English
Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience : 7 months to less than 1 year
Work location : On site – work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option
Work site environment : At heights, Wet / damp, Noisy
Work setting : Various locations : Commercial, Industrial, Residential

Responsibilities

Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports

Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe

Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment

Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools

Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment

Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment

Supervise other workers (1 to 2 people)

Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size

Test system for leaks using testing equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Will travel as required

Work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment

Maintain attention to detail, act as a team player, demonstrate reliability, and learn quickly
