Essential Duties

HVAC Systems Design : hot water heating / cooling systems, forced air heating / cooling systems, industrial / commercial ventilation, ground source heat pump systems, building systems automation, solar energy water heating systems design, etc.

Plumbing Systems Design : domestic hot and cold water piping, sanitary and vent piping, etc.

Fire Protection Systems : sprinklers, fire standpipe, fire extinguishers, dry chemical, wet chemical, etc.

Sustainable Systems Design : Focus on eco-friendly solutions that align with modern sustainability goals.

Contract Administration : Manage contracts to ensure smooth project execution.

Team Coordination : Work closely with clients, local utilities, inspection authorities, structural engineers, and architects.

Project Management : Assign and review work for junior design engineering staff, oversee projects to ensure alignment with client needs.

What You'll Need :

Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, NFPA, ASHRAE, standards and ordinances pertaining to building design

Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

Excellent organizational skills.

A collaborative team player who values coordination and communication.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2024 and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Revit is an asset but not required.

Experience leading teams, managing projects, and inspiring greatness.

Excellent communicator with a knack for building strong relationships (clients and coworkers alike).

Life's better when you can laugh, a good sense of humor is certainly an asset.

Education & Experience

A degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.

At least 3 years of professional experience as a practicing engineer.

Licensed P. Eng. registered in the province of Ontario.

License / Certification :

P.Eng. license registered in the province of Ontario. (required)
