Appointment Pool
Parkwood Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025.
Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements up to the end of Term 2, 2025.
This is a high-profile position that would need excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking individuals who have the capacity to be a positive team member as well as able to work independently and show initiative in their daily tasks.
As School Officer applicants would be the first point of contact for our school and will be responsible for providing accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff and community members using your exemplary communication skills.
Suitable applicants should ideally model effective and quality customer service and administrative support delivery.
Being able to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff, and able to deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a sometimes challenging and fast paced environment would be seen as advantageous.
In this role, applicants should assist the Manager Corporate Services in coordinate financial tasks including processing of electronic funds transfer (EFT) payment batches, cash management.
Good word processing skills and knowledge of data software packages like Student Information Systems (SIS) Integris, RM Billing and MGM Outreach would be highly desirable, as well as knowledge and experience in RM Finance payments.
Parkwood PS is on Whadjuk Noongar boodjar in the suburb of Parkwood. Our school has been serving the Parkwood community for over 40 years.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria) :
- experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
- experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and / or preparing financial returns.
- ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
