Job Purpose

Aslan Technologies has a / Process / Applications Engineer opportunity for engineers / technologists to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. The / Process / applications Engineer would be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing projects related to water and wastewater treatment and chemical dosing systems. They work in collaboration with Project Managers and would be part of a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role requires technical expertise in engineering principles, environmental regulations, and multidiscipline engineering and coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop quotes, proposals, cost estimations, technical specifications, vendor, and contractor prequalification, procurement / tender support,
• Be the main technical / process leader to support the Project Manager during Project execution.
• Design and develop water / wastewater treatment and chemical dosing systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment, calculations, and hydraulic modelling.
• Develop process schematics, PFDs, and P&IDs to ensure proper functionality and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Research and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water and wastewater engineering.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze different water / wastewater chemistries to propose the best possible water treatment solution for the existing scenario.
• Design processes for sequencing batch reactors (SBRs), UF, RO, NF, and membrane bioreactors (MBRs).
• Write design briefs, control narratives and user operation and maintenance manuals for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Develop and perform quality control and commission checklists and procedures
