Job descriptionCollege, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate / diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role Freight forwarding company, warehouse, or airline company – work must be completed on site; no remote work option Determine method of shipment Schedule distribution of goods Schedule transportation conveyances Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents Pack goods to be shipped Unpack goods received Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments Oversee loading and unloading of goods Supervise material handlers and helpers Pay and receive payments for goods Forklift Operator Certification Database software MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows Adobe Suite Dollies and hand trucks Industrial lift trucks and fork‑lifts Loader Criminal record check Driver's validity licence check Driving record check (abstract) Own transportation and valid driver’s licence Fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines Attention to detail, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads (> Physically demanding : bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods Large workload Safety equipment / gear (e.g., steel‑toed safety boots) Cellular phone Accurate, dependable, organized, reliable Client‑focused, team player, flexible, initiative, judgment Excellent oral and written communication, efficient interpersonal skills
