Accounting and Payroll Technician (Investments)

Our client, a traded national company, seeks an Accounting Technician specialized in payroll to join their dynamic team on a 14-month contract.

YOUR ROLE :

  • Prepare and process payroll for Quebec and Ontario according to current legislations;
  • Assist with month-end payroll tasks;
  • Monitor payroll budget variances during month-end closing;
  • Manage expense accounts, and accounts payable and receivable;
  • Prepare GST / QST reports;
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial statements;
  • Perform bank reconciliations;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and payroll processes.

    • SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field;
  • Experience in payroll processing;
  • Proficiency in accounting and payroll software;
  • Strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken);
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team;
  • Versatility and adaptability .
