You will actively lead direct and manage projects with a forward-thinking solutions-based mindset daily to ensure customer and project team have the authority to speak for the firm in dealing with the customer in all routine matters associated with the You Will DoArchitectural Design and Technical Leadership:Collaborate with the design team (within the architecture studio and across engineering disciplines) and the project design principal to develop and manage design technical project development and documentation for efficient and sustainable project and communicate with clients on project development and management issues throughout the project lifecycle including attending and/or leading project meetings with clients stakeholders sub-consultants and and coordinate the preparation of drawings and specifications at each project deliverable stage (SD DD Tender IFC etc.).Oversee project application and review processes with Authorities Having and integrate the work of other design disciplines whether internal to WF Group or external the project construction budget (in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor) and performanceobjectivesthrough the development of project leadership in developing technical details and documentation on projects which may include direct roles in construction document development BIM modeling detailing specification development and technical support on projects you are not directly project design and documentation quality assurance processes including document checking and markups cross-discipline coordination within the WF Group Quality Assurance framework and review of project design technical issues and documentation with the stamping professional/principal with and mentor multidisciplinary teamsregardinglessons Administration:Administer construction contracts following applicable legislation and best practice standards including various CCDC contract types (CCDC 2 5A/B 14 30 etc.).Serve as the primary point of contact for construction administration processes including general client contractor and sub-consultant correspondence; RFI response; submittal review; and development of supplemental instructions or project changes (PCN CO CD).Attend construction site visits and progress meetings prepare field review reports and conduct and prepare deficiency contractor payment applications issue certificates for payment and review project closeout and assess project status at closeout prepare the certificate for substantial performance and coordinate with the stamping architect for issuance of final review Management of Architectural-Prime Projects:Monitor and manage project performance including development and maintenance of project schedules and work plansappropriate staffingutilization and project financial with the accounting team on project invoicing (AR AP) and tracking of project percent Development Activities:Develop andmaintainstrong relationships with existing and potential clients ensuring lasting client satisfaction andidentifyingnew project business development activities including fee development proposal preparation and participation in and Practice Leadership:Manage and lead internal project team members including assigning work activities and ensuring project development aligns with designobjectivesand client with other practice leaders to develop andmaintainpractice leadership and project management Integrated Design and a collaborative team approach within the Toronto mentorship guidance and support to team members within and outside your immediate project teams focusing on design technical matters project management and strategies for successful project with architectural leaders to discuss innovative strategies for advancing both system and process your role progresses you will have the opportunity to become a Team Leader providing regular coaching to a team of staff members focusing on their development and long-term success. This includes conducting performance reviews holding regular one-on-one meetings discussing career progression managing performance and work conduct andassistingwith staff development and training You Bring to the TableBachelors degree or college diploma in Architecture or related field.10 years of experience in project management or related roles with a focus on overseeing complex multi-disciplinary in or completion of PMP and licensure withOAAwould be considered an knowledge of project management principles and knowledge of Canadian/Ontarioand other relevant codes and standards (i.e. NBC ESC CSA IES IEEE NFPA ASHRAE).Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to devise practical and economical interpersonal and communication skills with the ability toestablisheffective working communication timemanagementand multi-tasking skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detailExperience in contract administration and business development atWalterFedyAs a national innovative multi-discipline design and construction collective our ambitiongoes beyondgreat design we are here to enhance the world around us.
