Accounting Technician

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team in Barrie, Ontario. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth execution of key accounting processes.

Responsibilities :

• Manage personal tax returns (T1s)
• Oversee corporate tax returns (T2s)
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Process invoices and maintain organized financial records for reporting purposes.
• Conduct data entry tasks with precision to support financial operations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks, Taxcycle, and Caseware to streamline workflows.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and practices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong skills in billing, invoice processing, and data entry.
• Experience with advanced accounting software, including Quickbooks, Caseware, Taxcycle, etc.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
