Scope of the Position

The General Labourer is responsible for the transportation of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment. He / she will check and weigh materials and products. The general Labourer will sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products based on Flex-N-Gate’s policies and procedures. This position will assist other machine operators, assemblers, and other workers when necessary. This position must clean the work areas and equipment according to Flex-N-Gate’s policies and procedures. Completion of other duties as assigned will be required.

Responsibilities

Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment

Check and weigh materials and products

Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products according to Flex-N-Gate’s policies and procedures

Assist other machine operators, assemblers, and other workers when required

Clean work areas and equipment according to Flex-N-Gate’s policies and procedures

Perform other duties when required

Qualifications

Requirements

STAGE 1, 2, 3

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent

1 + years of working experience in a manufacturing field would be an asset

Ability to participate in continuous improvement processes

Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

Ability to work independently in a busy environment

Able to work well under pressure

Strong attention to detail
