We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients / residents / clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Practice in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurses Act of Manitoba, the CLPNM Standards of Practice, the CLPNM Code of Ethics, and the Scope of Practice Entry Level Competencies.
- Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position as offered by PMH.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), or eligible for active practicing licensure with the (CLPNM)Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR TrainingProficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information TechnologySuccessful completion of the Manitoba Nephrology Nursing CourseOne (1) year equivalent full-time experience in a Renal Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the last three (3) yearsDemonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independentlyDemonstrated problem solving and decision making skillsDemonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures in a changing environmentDemonstrated knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the positionDemonstrated communication skillsAbility to respect and promote confidentialityAbility to perform the duties of the position on a regular basisAbility to respect and promote a culturally diverse populationAbility to work effectively and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, clients and within interdisciplinary teamSatisfactory employment record requiredPosition Summary
