Join SOTI’s Education Services team and bring your creative vision to life! You’ll collaborate with internal teams to design and produce engaging, high-quality technical videos that educate and inspire. In this role, you’ll explore the latest trends and technologies in media creation, ensuring SOTI stays at the forefront of innovation. You’ll work closely with our Learning Media & Technology Lead - from concept to delivery - shaping visual stories that make an impact. • Reporting to the Team Lead, work on executing the design, creation, and editing of technical product training videos according to an established plan. Includes planning, scripting, storyboarding, and delivery.
• Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify needs and create video solutions from conception to delivery.
• Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms through media.
• Plan post-production schedules and perform video post-production tasks, which include reviewing recordings, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, revisions, final edits, audio adjustment, color correction, and video transcoding.
• Create and utilize motion graphics and special effects for video post-production following the overall production concepts for video design and creation.
• Publish, organize, and optimize media for third-party video hosting web platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vidyard, etc.
• Collaborate with Instructional Designers during the blueprint / designing phase on adult learning principles.
• Collaborate with Content Specialists for technical product-related assistance.
• Coordinate internal and external video duplication and updates services as required.
• Utilize the internal project management tool to ensure timely deliveries as well as keep the project plans and statuses transparent and accessible for the wider team.
• Review the data related to viewership, engagement, and work on continuous improvement initiatives to increase consumption. Research trends and make recommendations to the lead on new and improved ways to create engaging, consumable video content. Experience You’ll Bring
• College diploma and / or equivalency.
• Work portfolio samples or proof of proficiency.
• 3 years of previous working experience as a Video Designer or equivalent field.
• Understanding of storytelling concepts and formats, structure & flow, and identifying the target audience.
• Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with production techniques and standards.
• Expert knowledge of parts of the Adobe CC Suite related to video design (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition).
• Creative and artistic skills.
• Knowledgeable of learning methodologies and adult learning best practices.
• Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills to effectively work with team members, peers, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to embrace change and process improvements to streamline work processes.
• Ability to concurrently work on multiple projects and remain flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. Additional Assets : Basic HTML / HTML5 and Flash programming knowledge. Web design or Ui design experience Voice Acting experience. Technical experience in Software companies.
