Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter - Adhoc

Wood is currently accepting applications for Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter - Adhoc personnel - Offshore, with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This role will be located offshore Newfoundland and Labrador and will be a casual call-out role. The successful candidate will be willing and eligible to travel Offshore via helicopter or supply vessel.

As a Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter, you will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. As well as planning and executing millwright activities in accordance with drawings and specifications. Within this role you will work in confined spaces and / or at heights, in outdoor and extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

As a successful candidate you will have completed 4 Period Apprenticeship (minimum of 1,560hrs per period, directly related to the trade), followed by Journeyperson Certification OR a valid Journeyperson Certificate issued by another Canadian province or Territory with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification OR provides evidence of a minimum of 6,240 hours of experience directly related to the trade. All employees are required to demonstrate competence in their trade.

The following Offshore Certificates and Training is required and would be considered an asset :

• Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA
• Rigging, Slinging, and Banksman
• Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015)
• Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness
• Fall Protection
• Confined Space Entry
• Emergency First Aid
