Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join the Wealth Management Monitoring Department within NFRT. This team provides critical support to the Risk and Compliance divisions by delivering tools and applications that help monitor Financial Advisors' adherence to the firm’s policies and procedures.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and support of surveillance models and related solutions through comprehensive business and data analysis. This includes gathering and documenting business requirements, performing gap analyses, conducting UAT, and ensuring seamless project delivery in a collaborative, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit and document detailed business requirements (BRDs), Agile user stories, proof-of-concept models, and related documentation.
• Analyze large datasets to identify data gaps and work with cross-functional teams to bridge those gaps.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
• Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices and prepare and execute UAT plans.
• Manage project plans, monitor progress, and elevate delays or risks to program leadership as needed.
• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of surveillance tools and applications.
• Provide insight into trade lifecycle and asset class data (Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures) for accurate business analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business analysis roles within large, global organizations.
• Strong background in SQL and data analysis using relational databases.
• Proven experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across international teams.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Experience in compliance surveillance use cases such as:

• Marking the Open/Close
• Spoofing
• Insider Trading

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of compliance surveillance platforms (e.g., Actimize, MANTAS, SunGard, SMARTS).
• Project management experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks and tools.
• Experience working on large-scale development or regulatory reporting projects.
• Knowledge of trade, positions, and reference data within financial systems.
