Plant Manager

Manufacturing Experience Required

Our client is on the hunt for a hands-on Plant Manager with a strong background in manufacturing to lead a high-volume processing and packaging operation.

The plant is located 45 minutes west of Spruce Grove and St. Albert.

This role is ideal for a strong manufacturing leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys being deeply involved in day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvement and people development.

Plant Manager Job Description:

• Lead all aspects of plant operations, including material processing, screening, blending, packaging, and shipping.
• Maintain a strong daily presence on the production floor
• Drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, and cost
• Own site-level financial performance including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Identify, evaluate, and implement, process improvements, efficiency gains and capital improvement initiatives
• Build a strong leadership bench through coaching, succession planning, and employee development
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and open, respectful challenge
• Balance standardized metrics with real-world production variability
• Strengthening leadership capabilities and engagement across the site

The Successful Candidate Has:

• Proven experience leading a manufacturing operation
• Strong operational mindset with solid manufacturing fundamentals
• Comfortable managing environments where processes are not perfectly uniform day-to-day
• A confident, thoughtful decision-maker who challenges assumptions while empowering teams to improve and grow.
• Leads with integrity and accountability, fostering a culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement.

Compensation and benefits:

• The discussed salary range is $135,000-$140,000 per annum depending on experience
