General description : direct the business development effort for one of AR's most strategic markets, namely Power and Renewables. This Business Unit has historically been key to our success as a true global player in the field of infrastructure. The position includes focus on the western Canadian component and aiming to develop business for certain key clients not already covered or only partially covered by our current Business Unit.

Location - Calgary, AB; Vancouver, BC

Your role within the team :

Accountable for formulating and executing the growth strategy for AtkinsRealis Power Grids and Renewables coming from Western Canada (Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and BC in particular).

Externally :

  • Interact with prospective clients and with partners directly, understand the client's expectations and pain points, build and foster long-term relationships with new clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance visibility and network with potential clients.

Internally :

  • Work as a team with our Portfolio Directors / Managers who are overlooking the P&L objectives, envisage synergies with our other global / local teams, and coordinate with our executives and / or other business units (Nuclear, or others) already present in the region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to enhance our reach in Western Canada.
  • Set and achieve sales targets and performance metrics aligned with AtkinsRéalis' objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities.
  • Advise on necessary :

    Budgets for future development. Technical trends to deliver future projects.

    Business Development and visibility :

  • Contribute to the development and / or centralization of BD materials. Contribute to company visibility and thought leadership efforts.

  • Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $132 560 - $182 270 annually + (15-30% bonus). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
