Position Summary
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is currently recruiting for the position of Child-Minding Attendant. Reporting to the Recreation Program Coordinator, the Child-Minding Attendant is responsible for monitoring children and meeting their needs as required, as well as providing exceptional quality customer service and confidentiality while working in Auggie's Place Childminding Centre and Connect Hearing Play Station.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. The ability to listen and communicate constructively with children, parents and coworkers in a positive and respectful manner is essential. First Aid / CPR certification is required. Knowledge and training in Child Behavior Management and Risk Management Awareness is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be well organized and possess sound problem solving and decision-making skills relating to managing children’s behavior. Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience.
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. A Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon hire.
Hours of Work : Monday – Sunday; Varying weekday morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Preference will be given to those who are available between 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
