ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant sits in the Accounting & Finance ("A&F") Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Financial Reporting function of the organization and be the right-hand person to our accounting leader.

The A&F team continues to contribute to the key strategic decision-making that guides the company, and we are seeking someone with the ambition to become a key leader within Fresh Tracks Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform monthly close activities, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and review and analysis of relevant aspects of the balance sheet, cash flow and P&L
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for significant fluctuations
- Oversee and manage financial transactions related to the company's treasury activities, including foreign exchange hedging and investments
- Periodically review the organization's control environment to ensure that robust policies are in place
- Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Provide technical accounting guidance and general ledger business support to our non-financial stakeholders across the business
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external engagement partners during the fiscal year-end review
- Develop interactive and insightful dashboards and reporting using Power BI and other visualization tools
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Coach & Mentor junior team members in the financial reporting team
- Prepare statutory tax filings
- Perform other special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS
