Accounting Analyst (Contract)

About Our Client

Our client, located in Toronto, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their team for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, the Accounting Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Analyze expenses for accuracy
• Track project expenditures to budget and investigate variances
• Provide analysis on trends, activity, and significant transactions
• Prepare month-end journal entries related to the project
• Prepare month-end reconciliations
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding project expenditures
• Prepare supporting documents for annual and interim audits
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Business
• Must have 2+ years of financial analysis experience
• Strong Excel skills are required
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail in an environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
