Chief Technology Officer / Product Visionary

This is not a legacy maintenance role. Responsibilities:

• Define and own the technology vision for Our Client, ensuring it's bold, modern, and aligned with our business goals and market opportunity.

• Lead the design and development of secure, scalable, and reliable platforms and products that push the boundaries of what’s possible in data security.

• Drive innovation in data discovery, data classification, tokenization, dynamic masking, and encryption, transforming customer requirements into defensible, elegant outcomes.

• Build and scale a high-performance engineering team, hiring and mentoring world-class talent across architecture, infrastructure, DevSecOps, and application development.

• Establish best-in-class technical practices and a culture of quality, velocity, and accountability across the engineering organization.

• Partner across the executive team (Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance) to ensure technology is a growth lever, not a cost center.

• Act as an external technology evangelist representing Our Client at industry conferences, analyst briefings, and with enterprise customers and partners.

• Ensure our products meet or exceed security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.) from the ground up

Requirements:

• 15+ years in software engineering and product development, with 7+ years in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, Chief Architect) at a high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity company.

• Deep technical expertise in Java, secure distributed systems, multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containers, and CI/CD.

• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-grade data security or data protection platforms with high availability, performance, and compliance demands.

• Intimate knowledge of data security disciplines: discovery, classification, encryption, masking, tokenization, and privacy-by-design methodologies.

• Track record of building a high-trust, high-output engineering culture with a strong emphasis on talent development, clarity, and velocity.

• Ability to translate between business strategy and technical execution, driving innovation while delivering at scale.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills. Able to inspire internal teams and external stakeholders alike.

• Prior experience with zero-trust security, governance frameworks, and secure software development lifecycles (SSDLC) is a major asset.
