Role Junior Chargé(e) de la Comptabilité / Junior Staff Accountant – Four Seasons Hotel Montreal. The role supports the Senior Accountant in maintaining the general ledger, reconciliation management, payroll, revenue verification and general cash collections, in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

• Assist the Senior Accountant in ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the hotel’s assets and resources.
• Maintain financial records and reconcile accounts using manual or computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, prepare trial balances, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
• Provide support to department heads on revenue auditing, cash receipts, payroll and other finance-related matters.
• Participate in payroll, internal audits, and cash handling activities; collaborate with Finance leadership as needed.
• Participate in month-end processes, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure adherence to GAAP formats.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities; understand USALI guidelines.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and bank accounts; investigate and resolve outstanding items.
• Generate daily, monthly, and periodic accounting and financial reports on time and accurately.
• Assist in physical inventory counts and valuation verifications.
• Maintain cash security through bank reconciliations and reporting of any irregularities to Finance leadership.
• Support year-end adjustments and reconciliations as needed; assist audits with required working papers and backup.
• Ensure knowledge of finance department operations to cover for colleagues on vacations or absences.
• Ensure revenues are properly recorded and daily reports are produced promptly.
