On behalf of our client, Procom is looking for an Infrastructure Support Analyst – Industrial Information Technology (IIT) for a 3 month contract with long term extension in Calgary, Alberta.

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Job Details

Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Support Analyst who will assist their infrastructure team in delivering key industrial IT initiatives, identify IIT infrastructure requirements, develop and maintain IIT standards, collaborate with our client’s outsourced infrastructure team, and provide technical support and issue resolution.

This role may require 1-2 onsite camp visits per year to Fort McMurray. Some on-call support may be required.

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Responsibilities

• Review and manage the physical IIT network infrastructure and recommend improvements for the connectivity in a ISA99 compliant control System;
• Work with third party vendors to co-ordinate and support the development of IIT infrastructure designs and applications;
• Review, manage, maintain and operate software systems and services associated with the IIT environment as required.
• Ensures all IIT infrastructure requirements are clearly and fully identified;
• Uses knowledge of hardware, software, and network technologies to analyze and recommend infrastructure options for growth;
• Understand and ensure that new technology or services adhere to client’s IIT environment and ISA 99 control system standards.
• Identifies and establishes IIT standards for development of on-going policies and procedures;
• Identifies risk and prevents the compromise of information security and misuse of IIT
• resources;
• Ensures all aspects of the IIT infrastructure systems are effectively documented and support business objectives;
• Develops and maintains IIT standards in support of new services and systems as required by client’s Business initiatives.
• Provides technical guidance to support day to day IIT and client operations;
• Assists in the management of IS budgets;
• Provides technical guidance to IS Operations, Controls & Operations, and Operations & Maintenance team as required.
• Acts as the primary contact for IIT requests and coordinates with the appropriate technical team/vendors to ensure proper resolution;
• Receives, tracks and prioritizes issues for resolution, resolving issues as expertise permits and/or escalating as required;
• Ensures system changes are planned and managed effectively;
• Ensures PCN infrastructure environment operates under cyber security best practices based on ISA 99 control system standards;
• Pursues ongoing development of customer service skills, technical skills and product knowledge and identify areas for continuous improvement;
• Troubleshoot, research, test, and/or coordinate installs, upgrades, and outages at remote sites as required.

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Must-Haves:

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent certification or diploma and/or experience
• 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure support role
• 5+ years’ experience in Cisco networking (VLANS, EIRGP/OSPF, ring network topology and security)
• Experience in work with Honeywell Experion PKS, Tofino firewalls and Honeywell Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE) network
• Experience with NetApp SAN configuration, Active Directory, VMware, and UCS technologies
• SCADA, DCS, or PCN systems with a good understanding of process control network architecture and ISA 99 control system standards (asset)
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with diverse personalities and work force
• Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and
• attention to detail
• Ability to travel to site post-pandemic

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Required Certifications:

• PPE/H2S Alive Safety Certifications
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA and CCNP Routing & Switching

Completion of the following courses would be considered an asset

• Honeywell
• IS-ZANC2HON: Information Systems: Advanced - Cisco Switching for Honeywell Implementation
• IS-1111: Information Systems: Fundamentals – FTE/CISCO Implementation
• IS-OSS8003: Information Systems: Fundamentals-Plant Security Governance and Management Overview
• VMware (VCA/VCP), NetApp (NCSA), Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE), Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Location

Calgary, Alberta, remote until further notice. Onsite in Calgary office post-pandemic.

Infrastructure Support Analyst (IIT) Assignment Term:

ASAP to December 31, 2022. Multi-year extension possible.
