Intent of the process

A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), various language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence, in Borden, Kingston, North York, Petawawa, Trenton, Thunder Bay and Toronto, ON only.

Please note that all positions are on-site, and you will be expected to work in person for the entire duration of your scheduled hours.

ASSET EXPERIENCE

AEX1 : Experience working with hazardous materials including handling, storage, and disposal.

AEX2 : Experience in the procedures relating to shipping and receiving.

AEX3 : Experience in the maintenance and disposal of inventory.

AEX4 : Experience using the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) or similar SAP (Systems Applications and Products) software for inventory or resource management.

AEX5 : Experience supervising.

AEX6 : Experience using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.

AEX7 : Experience working or volunteering in a mixed civilian and military environment.

▶ Possession of a valid provincial / territorial driver’s license.

▶ Ability to obtain and maintain a DND 404 Driver / Operator Permit including Forklift Operator’s qualification.

▶ Ability to safely lift large items up to 20kg.

▶ Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

▶ Willingness and ability to work overtime as pre-authorized.

▶ Willingness to travel for training purposes (occasionally for extended periods of time)

▶ Willingness and ability to wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

▶ Willingness and ability to work in a warehouse environment with minimal supervision.

▶ Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders and on elevated devices.
