• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure performance, safety and longevity of the equipment
• Dismantle components to examine for excessive wear or damage
• Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as necessary
• Maintain and calibrate vehicle electrical systems
• Monitor hydraulic systems for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, worn gaskets, etc and calibrate or replace components when necessary
• Maintain an open and trustworthy relationship with respect to communication amongst staff and the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager
• Initiate, manage and delegate daily work assignments with minimal supervision
• Maintain records of work completed and report on all shop related activities within the CMMS
• Perform all maintenance and repair tasks in a cost-effective and fiscally responsible manner
• Assist the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager with the preparation of annual budget for vehicle maintenance
• Ensure safety and good housekeeping practices
• Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
• Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
• Other duties as assigned
