This new Controller position is a great opportunity if you would like to report to a VP and a President. Responsibilities include: - Preparing and reviewing financial statements, and supervising a small team - Assisting in cash management, including the review of disbursements/invoices and cash flow reports - Working with all areas of the business to improve internal controls and processes- Ensuring all internal controls are in place and functioning as intended - Participating in real estate activities, such as the performance analysis, the additional annual rent adjustments, insurance, the lease renewal, and the property tax valuation reviews - Participating in the monthly analysis and reporting of financial results, including the monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting Qualifications: - Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting or finance, with a CPA/CA designation - At least 5 to 7 years of finance and accounting experience and strong technical skills in accounting or in an accounting firm - Industry experience in real estate within accounting group - a strong asset - Strong management skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and operational environment, while consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results - Driven, self-starter, and enthusiastic learner - Customer-focused and results-oriented approach - Good organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel - High proficiency in Excel Leadership Attributes: - Great collaborator and team player who engages with others while thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where quality, speed of decision-making, and execution are critical to organizational success - Action-oriented, hardworking individual with a commitment to the highest quality of care and service - Political savviness, discretion and diplomacy - Reliable person who displays confidence Please send your resume as a Word document to Milene Rizcalla at the following address: mrizcalla@quantum.ca.
