Job Responsibilities

• Process work to be performed.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC Milling Machines accurately and efficiently.
• Select appropriate cutting tools as required.
• Perform quality checks on an ongoing basis to ensure product is within tolerance.
• Set up example for and provide continuous training to machine apprentices and fellow employees as assigned.
• Fill out machine / job log book on a daily basis and communicate necessary information to Leadhands and co-workers from shift to shift.
• Run multiple machines as required.
• Perform PM’s on milling machines.
• Daily check of CNC
• Operate overhead crane.
• Daily check list of crane
• Operate all conventional machines.
• Fill out weekly timesheet.
• Implement continuous improvement.
• Keep spare part list up to date.
• Keep CAD up to date and organized.
• Multi-task.
• Minor die service and maintenance.
• Complete machine start-up checklist on a daily basis.
• Have the right to refuse work based on safety or health concerns.
• Work safely and follow all safety rules at all times.
• Report any unsafe or unhealthy conditions immediately.
• Know and understand all Magna, Federal, State and Local legislated duties.
• Play an active role in maintaining housekeeping in the area and ensure that area of responsibility is clean, tidy and organized at all times.
• Attend training as required or as assigned.
• Know what to do in an emergency.
• Know the operating instructions for all equipment and processes where you are assigned. Know the pre start-up inspection process, hazards, protective measures, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, start and stop procedures and equipment limitations.
• Attend all physical examinations and tests including those required for respirator use and hearing protection.
• Be knowledgeable about any chemicals that you work with or that are in your immediate environment.
• Wear required PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, respirators and head protection.
• Perform any other duties as requested.
