💼 Position Overview

A leading fashion company in the Greater Montreal area is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of global logistics and distribution. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven leader with deep experience in import/export, 3PL management, transportation, customs compliance, and working with major big-box retailers such as Costco, Walmart, and Giant Tiger.

🎓 Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally in the fashion, apparel, or consumer goods industry.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, duty drawback, and cross-border compliance.
• Experience managing 3PL operations and working with big-box retailers.
• Advanced understanding of transportation modes, Incoterms, and global freight operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in logistics systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

🌐 Key Responsibilities

📥 Import & Export Management

• Oversee all international inbound and outbound shipments.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, documentation accuracy, and timely clearances.
• Manage duty drawback processes and identify opportunities for cost recovery.

🏭 3PL, Warehousing & Distribution

• Manage relationships with 3PL partners to ensure performance, accuracy, and service quality.
• Monitor warehouse operations, inbound/outbound scheduling, and inventory flow.
• Implement KPIs, service-level metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

🚛 Transportation & Carrier Coordination

• Coordinate freight movements (air, ocean, ground) to ensure on-time delivery.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and optimize transportation cost and performance.
• Resolve delivery issues, delays, and compliance matters proactively.

📄 Customs, Compliance & Documentation

• Prepare, verify, and maintain all customs and trade documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes, COO, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with CBSA and international trade regulations.
• Work closely with customs brokers to ensure accurate declarations and settlements.

🛒 Retailer & Partner Collaboration

• Manage logistics requirements for major retailers including Costco, Walmart, Giant Tiger, and other big-box partners.
• Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) performance and compliance with routing guides.
• Support vendor compliance programs and prevent chargebacks.

📊 Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Track logistics KPIs such as lead times, freight costs, shipping accuracy, and warehouse SLAs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process optimizations across the supply chain.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and operational analyses.
