Industrial Electrician

The Opportunity :

As part of Maple Leaf Food’s Maintenance team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. Furthermore, they will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. Our Industrial Electrician rate is $46.97 / hour, with an additional premium of $0.50 / hour for the night shift.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life :

• Trouble shooting / repairs / installations of processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair / replacement results
• Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs)
• Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics
• Repair / maintain / trouble shoot motor controls, temperature sensors and safety sensors
• Must have experience working with voltages ranging from 24V to V, 3 phase
• Must be able to read logic and flow diagrams
• Carry out oral / printed work requests and apply corrective action
• Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
• Understand and adhere to all plant Food / Health and Safety Polices
