Responsibilities
- Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations, including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
- Assess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
- Understand and utilize RSM’s Audit Methodology.
- Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
- Understand skillsets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors and monitor and report on performance with coaching notes.
- Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams and act as in-charge facilitating field work, monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand significant developments and their impact on the current year audit engagements.
- Develop others within the Firm through training, advising on career development, and participating in Firm initiatives.
- Stay informed on industry developments and share relevant information with clients.
- Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise.
- Discuss with client management opportunities to introduce other firm services where applicable.
- Develop strategies to expand external relationships to support business growth.
- Manage profitability of projects and identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education and staying current with GAAP, GAAS, FASB / IFRS.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on client assignments.
Required Qualifications
BS / BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degreeCPA, CA, or ACCA Certification5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environmentExperience leading teams and mentoring associatesUnderstanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS regulationsProven track record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsMinimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagementsPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience with fintech or specialty finance engagementsExperience directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagementsAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package. Compensation Range : $79,500 - $135,000; Individuals selected will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
