Site Buyer – Electrical Focus

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Procurement, the Buyer is responsible for the purchasing for the construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Receive purchase requisitions from Superintendents and the Regional Logistic Coordinator
• Purchase site materials and equipment
• Carry out purchase orders
• Obtain approval of purchase orders
• Search for innovative products and new suppliers for the respective provinces
• Follow up on out-of-stock products, delivery note reconciliations with purchase orders and invoice approval
• Request bids from suppliers
• Organize occasional transportation of materials
• Plan product groupings for annual agreements
• Follow established ISO procedures

Requirements:

• Technical background in logistics or procurement
• Deep understanding of electrical distribution electric components - low & medium voltage, grounding material, etc.
• Over 3 years of experience related to procurement
• Excellent communication and relationship skills
• Highly autonomous and able to manage emergencies
