Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Support tax partners through the identification of tax planning opportunities and strategies in the firm’s varied client base
• Preparation of step planning memorandums and technical reports for clients and partners alike
• Assist with the mentoring of other team members with respect to tax
• Assist with performing the review of corporate and personal tax returns and tax projects

Qualifications

• CPA In-depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation degree are assets
• Ideally 4+ years of experience with 2+ years specializing in tax
• Ideally a good understanding of accounting
• Extensive knowledge of corporate, personal, partnership and trust tax legislation and compliance
• Knowledge of Caseware, and TaxPrep
• Prior experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning and various filings of tax elections (Section 85, CDA, etc.) is preferred
