Machine Operator / Edgebander

Overview

The Machine Operator - Edgebander is responsible for creating quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes and milling machines and equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. Responsibilities will include loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.

This role offers opportunities for growth, cross-training, and advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
• Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines.
• Replace parts as required.
• Read and interpret paperwork to understand the work required to be done on the machine.
• Load and unload completed parts from machinery manually.
• Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
• Clean machinery and equipment.
• General production shop duties are required from time to time.
